Tokaj Wine Region
Tokaj Wine Region Historic Cultural Landscape was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2002 by UNESCO. This wine region is among the first in the world and dates back to 1737. In the centre of the wine region, Erdőbénye recently started to re-establish itself on the map of the worlds? finest wine-makers.
Today, Visitors to Erdőbénye enjoy not only the excellent wines and other delicacies. The region is ideal for excursions, bike and canoe tours. Many of our guests visit some of the castles nearby (Sárospatak, Boldogkőváralja, Regéc) or try the thermal bath in Sárospatak. The most often visited natural heritage includes the tarn of Megyer-hegy, the nature reserves of Bodrog river area and the untouched forests of the mountains (like Szokolya or Sátor-hegy which can be accessed by chair-lift).
